Hold The Seats
‹ Back to the game · Feedback · Terms
Plain-English version: the game itself collects nothing and needs no account. You only share anything if you choose to sign in and send us feedback. Here's exactly what happens.
You can play the whole game without signing in or giving us anything. Your saved game is stored only in your own browser, not sent to us.
We keep a small, anonymous count of how the game is used, for example "a game started as Labour, on Normal difficulty". This has no name, no account, and no cookie attached, so we can't tell who it was. It just helps us see which parts of the game people enjoy.
To send a suggestion you sign in with Google. When you do, we receive and store as little as possible:
Every suggestion is read and approved by a person before it appears anywhere. Nothing you type is shown to anyone else unless it's approved. We can also remove a message or block an account that misuses this.
Signing in itself happens through Google's own "Sign in with Google" button. That button is Google's code, running under Google's own terms and privacy policy, not ours: while you're using it, Google may set its own cookie on its own site (not on holdtheseats.com) to remember things like which account you last picked. We don't set that cookie, can't read it, and it isn't used to track you around the game. If you'd rather avoid it entirely, simply don't sign in; the game itself never needs it.
Hold The Seats itself sets no cookies and does no cross-site advertising or tracking of any kind. The one exception is Google's own sign-in cookie described above, which is Google's, not ours.
